Worried mom spend $4,000 after orange goober cat swallows sewing needle, and after a sleepless night, he survives thanks to quick decision-making of his pawrents

We don't know how we're going to have hooman children one day if we can barely keep our heads on straight with our feline ones. Seriously. Last week one of our cats all but stopped eating for a few days, so we took her to the vet to see if something was wrong. $400 later, the vet told us she just has a tummy-ache from eating too quickly. As soon as we got home, she started eating again and then attempted to climb to the top of the curtains. We think it's safe to say she's feeling better.

This is a purrfectly calm story compared to the night these pawrents had. They spent a sleepless (and very expensive) night at the emergency vet after their orange brain-cell-less goober cat decided to chomp down on mom's cross-stitching needle. But luckily, thanks to the quick actions of mom and dad, this ginger goofball is back to being as healthy as a horse. Scroll down to read the full story below!

  • They always return to the scene of the crime. We hope this orange cat chooses to munch on something less sharp next time, though, like a Churu or some tasty chimken. Much nicer than a needle.

    In the horse world, we joke that horses can sense when we're trying to save up for a vacation & choose that time to inflict some inane injury upon themselves, resulting in an outrageous vet bill. Bonus points if they require the vet to come out late at night or on a weekend, which usually costs extra.

    This seems like a very 'orange' twist in taste testing. They would likely argue that it produces more comprehensive data as to the edible nature of an unknown object. Whereas most other pets would likely immediately identify this object
